Filey is a traditional seaside resort with clean sandy beaches with safe paddling, swimming and play areas. The resort has been a popular destination since Victorian times and remains so though it has thankfully escaped becoming over commercialised. Visitors can learn something of the town's maritime history at the small museum and life boat station or enjoy the panoramic views from the Country Park up on Filey Brigg. The coast line to the north and south has some spectacular cliff top walks with many opportunities for bird watching for the keen twitcher.

Situated midway between Bridlington and Scarborough, it offers expansive clean sandy beaches (blue flag) with plenty of safe sea for paddling, swimming and play. There are enough facilities for children without being over-commercialised. Bring your family here and be confident of a memorable seaside holiday.

A fishing town on the North East coast of England, Filey has also been an all-year round resort since Victorian days and is fascinating to explore with its life-boat station, the small boats pulled up on Coble Landing , the stunning views from the Country Park up on Filey Brigg and its tiny but delightful museum.
